FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

An opportunity has arisen to join our ever expanding, forward-thinking multimodal logistics company based in Corpach, Fort William.

The post requires a qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA or qualified by experience) to prepare group monthly management and annual accounts and projections and to take responsibility for further development of the finance function and systems, joining our senior management board and reporting to the Director for Finance.

Previous experience in management accounting in a dynamic environment together with extensive experience of Sage Accounts Professional and MS Excel is essential, along with knowledge of Sage Payroll. This is a “hands-on” position and requires the ability to work as part of a team whilst playing a central role in the day to day management of the business and its growth.

TRANSPORT PLANNER & ADMINISTRATOR – METHIL

Ferguson Transport & Shipping have an exciting opportunity available for a Transport Planner & Administrator based in our Methil Depot in Fife.

This post is ideally suited to an individual who is motivated, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to ensure our customer requirements are met.

Previous experience working in the transport and logistics industry is required. The successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

HR ADMINISTRATOR

We are currently recruiting for a full time HR Administrator to support our Human Resources department in Corpach, Fort William. Previous experience of working in an HR office is preferable, however good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.

Hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings as and when required. Flexibility is required and overtime may be necessary from time to time.

PAYROLL & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Ferguson Transport and Shipping are currently recruiting for a Payroll & Office Administrator based in Corpach, Fort William.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, therefore previous experience of Sage Payroll (or a similar system) is essential.

Other duties will include weekly invoicing, creating customer reports and conducting credit control checks. Previous experience in an administration role and a good knowledge of Microsoft packages is required.

ASSISTANT SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL AND QUALITY OFFICER

Based at Corpach, Fort William. Ideally applicants should have previous experience and knowledge working within a health and safety environment or suitable health and safety qualifications.

The Assistant SHEQ Officer is responsible for assisting with monitoring of health and safety operations throughout the entire business, covering transport, port and warehousing activities and interfacing with the marine vessels when required, as well as keeping procedures and audit trails up to date.

The Assistant SHEQ Officer should be well organised, with an eye for detail, have good time-keeping and be prepared to work flexible overtime when required by business needs.

The Assistant SHEQ Officer must also keep up to date with relevant legislation. Travelling and overnight trips will be required as part of this role.

SHIPPING OFFICE PLANNER & ADMINISTRATOR

Based in Corpach, Fort William. To assist our shipping team with the daily planning and administration of delivering fish feed by road and onto our 6 vessels.

This role would suit a highly motivated person who enjoys the challenges that a busy shipping office has to give. Previous experience in a busy office environment is required as are excellent communication skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Previous vessel planning experience would be desirable but not essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training will be provided.
